DANILO ORLANDIĆ, EXECUTIVE MANAGER OF AIRPORTS OF MONTENEGRO PLC : „We want to interconnect our countries to see how to attract airlines to introduce operations among our airports. Permanent topics include working on improvement of our employees and investments. Our airports are the most successful in the region, with a double-digit growth rate, what is extremely important for economy of our countries. At the forum we have planned, we will hopefully have the representatives of other airports in the region because 90% of them have been recording high rates of growth“.
SAŠA VLAISAVLJEVIĆ, GENERAL DIRECTOR OF NIKOLA TESLA AIRPORT IN BEOGRAD: „In the region we are the airlines with best results in terms of the number of passengers, as well as other parameters – financial, first of all, and the number of air traffic operations. We all have best results at the moment. The topic I delegated is the concession since the Belgrade airport is in the final stage of a very successful concession. We also delegated other important topics like further improvement of the employees' skills, security and safety which are essential in aviation industry. This has been an exceptionally successful gathering, the exceptional initiative, after which we will continue to record even better results“.
ARMIN KAJMAKOVIĆ, DIRECTOR OF SARAJEVO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT: „I believe we have a good and positive regional story because we want to gather directors of the most successful airports. The invitation is open for all regional airports. In addition to our long-standing cooperation that has been very good so far, we now open the space for a new multilateral story by discussing all the topics we find important, like security and safety of airport operations, realisation of investments, introduction of new air services, human resources management, etc., and those were just some of numerous topics we talked about at the meeting.“
FRANO LUETIĆ, GENERALNI DIRECTOR OF DUBROVNIK AIRPORT: „Having a common interest, we want to exchange experience. Croatia is a member of the European Community and as such it can help the surrounding countries a lot since we have had major investments in the last couple of years and thus modernized Dubrovnik airport and constructed a new terminal building, mostly using the EU funds. I hope the countries in the region will succeed to do the same in order to keep up with developed countries in Europe. We make an important part of economy in our countries being their bright spot.“
Orlandić, Vlaisavljević, Luetić and Kajmaković especially accentuated the importance that the airports have for the economy in their countries and benefits those countries have from the airports' excellent business results. They also emphasized that investments and constant improvements are crucial in the efforts to have similar results
